Dexcom Connect - automatic upload Dexcom Connect is the official tool (plugin) that connects directly to Dexcom servers and sends data to your Nightscout. It works whenever your sensor sends a reading to the Dexcom app. Surprisingly, it requires no extra hardware or phone bridge. Its biggest advantage is that you do not need to use xDrip+ as a relay. The downside? Dexcom Connect may occasionally disconnect when coverage is poor, but that is usually a Dexcom server issue rather than a problem with the plugin itself. Any drawbacks? Yes. Dexcom Connect works very well until Dexcom changes something in its API, which handles communication between Nightscout and Dexcom. After some Dexcom app updates, the Nightscout integration has stopped working for several days while the community prepared a fix.
