Dexcom Connect - automatic upload without keeping the sensor in your pocket Dexcom Connect is the official tool (add-on) that connects directly to Dexcom servers and sends data to your Nightscout. It works as soon as your sensor sends a reading to the Dexcom app. Surprisingly, it requires no extra hardware or phone bridge. That is its biggest advantage: no messing around with xDrip+ as a relay. The downside? Dexcom Connect can "drop off" when coverage is poor - but that is Dexcom's servers at fault, not the add-on itself. Which sensors and apps does it work with? Sensors : Dexcom G6 and Dexcom G7 (it also works with the One version if you use the official Dexcom app). Do this: Go to your Nightscout settings (user panel, plugins) Add the connect plugin In the User Panel, in the instance configuration, click Dexcom Share Integration Enter your Dexcom account login details: Dexcom username (email address) Dexcom password Dexcom server region - choose: OUS (Outside US - Europe, Asia, Australia) US (United States) Click "Save" and Nightscout will automatically start downloading data from the last 24 hours (or from the last reading in the Dexcom app) Data will sync automatically - usually every 5 minutes, which is how often the sensor sends a new glucose reading. Is it worth it? Yes, but with one caveat. Dexcom Connect works very well until Dexcom changes something in its API (the communication method between Nightscout and Dexcom). There have been cases where, after a Dexcom app update, Dexcom Connect in Nightscout stopped working for a few days, until the community sorted out a fix.
