xDrip+ for CareLink - how to automatically sync data with Nightscout

The mmconnect plugin has stopped working, but there is a good alternative - xDrip+. Check how to configure automatic data transfer from your insulin pump to Nightscout using the CareLink Follower or Companion App.

xDrip+ for CareLinkSince the mmconnect plugin is no longer functional, the best solution for automatically transferring data from CareLink to Nightscout is to use the xDrip+ application.Download xDrip+ here (use the latest pre-release version), and then install it on your device.Method 1: CareLink FollowerYou can use an Android device as a bridge between CareLink and Nightscout. This can be the phone you use with the CareLink app, or any other phone or tablet with internet access. You do not need to carry it with you – it just needs to be turned on and connected to the network.Note: There will be some delay between pump readings and xDrip+/Nightscout. This is due to different polling intervals and should be less than 10 minutes.Configuration steps:1. Make sure you have a Share Partner configured in the CareLink Connect app.2. Select CareLink Follower as the data source.3. When data appears in xDrip+, you can send it to Nightscout via: Cloud Upload → Nightscout Sync.4. Leave the Download treatments option disabled.Method 2: Companion AppIf the phone you use with the CareLink, Guardian, or Minimed app runs on Android, you can configure xDrip+ to read notifications from that app and send glucose values to Nightscout.Configuration steps:1. Select Companion App as the data source.2. When data appears in xDrip+, you can send it to Nightscout via: Cloud Upload → Nightscout Sync.3. Leave the Download treatments option disabled.More information about uploaders - https://diab.ninja/en/docs#uploadersWhat is Nightscout? - https://diab.ninja/pl/blog/czym-jest-nightscout-hosting/
